Keith Dumble - Dark Waters
A collection of short stories inspired by Scottish folklore, myth and legend.
Dark Waters is the working title for a series of short stories combining my love for Scottish folklore and my fascination with the supernatural / horror genres.
Many of the tales which inspire the stories are little more than two or three lines, written down by someone many years ago after hearing them told orally.
I take these and run with them -- twisting and extending them into what I hope are chilling and evocative stories.
The horror I weave into them is not graphic: instead it is inspired by Poe and Lovecraft, where what is hinted at is more terrifying than a forensic description of it.
